Wow, it feels so good now that finals and this quarter are over!!! So as a stress reliever and a reward to myself.. jus kidding, Patrick & I went to Big Bear Lake. We stayed at the Marina Resort, http://marinaresort.com/ which is such a lovely place.. and has a splendid view: Our room overlooks the Lake, which is a plus ;)
here are some pics from the resort:

and from my dull camera:

Anyway, we got there around night time so we just had dinner at this really nice place. I like the restaurants there very much.... they're not like most franchise restaurants here in SD. Each restaurant serves a very unique delicacy.
By the way, the people there were so nice. We met this couple who lived in Hollywood Hills but moved there. The funny thing is, we saw them both nights for dinner.. at different restaurants. Our paths have crossed two times!!!!
The next day was the big day.. didn't bring my camera bec. I didn't wanna ruin in. We went snowboarding.... Some pics, again..
Heh, Patrick tie-ing my shoes bec. i can't seem to reach and tie them.. or can I? jusss kidding

haha, they look so ugly! I can't even walk with them on at first.. I kept asking him if I was suppose to walk like as if I was tip-toeing. Or if walking like that was normal. hah, i can't believe he put up with all my whining.. mucho thanko!

Oh, and everytime we got off the lift, I kept falling on my butt. I think I was the only one falling off like that.. hehhe how embarrassing!
But by the end of the night, we were both doing fine.. only he's a little better. The only thing I didn't learn how to do.. well I guess is how to tie and untie those boots, and how to get off that lift without falling and landing on my butt!
Around night time... we had another nice dinner and alkies. hahhaha but we didn't wanna sleep right away so we tried the Big Bear night life. I guess I wanted to know what it'd be like if I were to live there, and what kind of fun stuff I'd do besides snowboarding.. so we went bowling. I won!!! ok, i'm jus kidding.. the point is, at first I was winning so I'll leave it at that.
Anyway, right as we were leaving, after we finished the game, the guy who works there told us to wait... and guess what, HE GAVE US TWO TICKETS FOR TWO FREE GAMES next time we play there again. How sweet of him. It's so funny, I just realized that everywhere we go, whether its eating at Schlotzsky's or Subway, there's always some guy giving us an extra bag of chips and drinks or cookies, or not even telling us to pay for our food. Isn't that amazing? We don't even know those people!
The next day... is SHOPPING DAY ;) First, we stopped by the market to buy some blueberries (.99cents each basket.. compared to 4.99/basket here. Can u believe that?) and blackberries and red berries, both for $2/basket, and strawberries for $2.50/basket. REAAAAL CHEAP! hehe...
Then had some breakfast.. or I guess a late breakfast around 1pm. Stopped by the snow summit to take pictures and be like the tourists that we are

Stopped by so many stores, bought gifts for my cousins and nephews and nieces... Oh, we've encountered this HUGE dog. This picture doesn't do any justice. It weighed 135 pounds... hahah dayam, that dog weighs more than me!

We also saw Patrick's favorite dog, which looks like a wolf. By the way, I really like this picture:
Oh, and encountered scary horses. heh, I was too scared to get too close to them..

Then some girl was so sweet that she asked if Patrick&I wanted a picture together. Sure why not. So we stood in front of the horses, but one of the horses made a sound so I moved away as quickly as possible (as seen below! hahah)

Uhm.. I gotta go now.. someone's waiting for me... TO BE CONTINUED!!!
I would like to leave you all with this very captivating view of the Lake: In a few days, this will be covered in snow!

oh, and the sunset from the top of the cliffs:
